ConocoPhillips Bike Club
2012 BP MS-150 Training Series
United Way Ride
Saturday, October 1st, 2011 at 8 am in Fulshear, TX - Active.com Registration Link
Once again, ConocoPhillips Exploration & Business Development and the Bike Club are hosting a small and very well planned and supported ride to benefit the United Way! This year, we have moved the start to Fulshear just seven minutes west of the Grand Parkway.
Join us for a 46 or 63 mile ride in the quiet countryside around Fulshear. There will also be a 10/16 mile Family Friendly route so there is a ride for everyone.
The 46/63 mile ride begins from the Fulshear Business Center at 8:00 am. The Family ride begins at 8:30.
Lunch is included for all riders so plan to enjoy the local community hospitality during and after your ride.
In case of bad weather check the
Bike Club Hotline @ 281-293-2931
If you use webmail (Yahoo, gMail, Hotmail, etc.) to receive your cycling emails, please check to make sure Steve's email (Steve.E.Moskowitz@ConocoPhillips.com) is marked as "safe" in your junk mail filter. The weekly notes go out to more than 2000 riders, so these providers will block the email unless you notify them. If you don't know how to configure your email account, ask your IT department (or your 8 yr old) to do it for you.
New Classifieds!
You'll notice in the left navigation bar that there is a new classified ad link. It is called Noah's Classifieds, and there are detailed instructions on how to use it on the FAQ page. The biggest improvements are that you can include pictures of items for sale, and it doesn't look awful.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Steve answers a lot of email questons during this training series. Many of the good questions / answers are included in the weekly Wednesday email. My dream is that we can put the answers to any possible question on the FAQ page http://conocophillipsbikeclub.org/faq.php5, and eventually the Wednesday email could be a 140 character Twitter post instead of a novel. All kidding aside, if you have a cycling question, review the FAQ page, Steve's old emails on the links page, or email your team captain first. If none of those options provide an answer for your question, click the 'Ask Steve' link to the left and Steve or the Web Team will help you out. We get lots of questions, so it might take a day or so for a response.
Smile! You're on Camera!
You will notice one of our riders taking photos and video during the rides. Tim Hansford updates his online albums every week for us to view and forward to friends, family, sponsors, Pedal Partners, or anyone affected by MS. View and order photos, and enjoy videos at the links below, and be sure to thank him at the rides and use his donation links to support his fundraising efforts.
